Horsmonden Horse Fair in Kent, is held annually on the village green on the second Sunday of September. Attempts by the Local Authority to ban the fair in 2000 were resolved following negotiation. The fair has been held for around 400 years and is thought to have started as a “Hoppers Fair”.
